General Information

Doromir is the central military and trading power. It is known to facilitate most, if not all, of the trade taking place by land in Everwind Country. This has insured fruitful alliances and partnerships with other kingdoms. Doromir has the smallest land area, but by far the highest wealth. The kingdom has one of the most powerful and well equipped armies, making it the most powerful Human nation in Everwind Country. It contributed to halting the Grud'mok Invasion in the southern parts of Everwind Country, and in building and maintaining many of the major roads through the region.

The current ruler of Doromir is King Aphyllos Prossil. The nation was founded in ??? by Tilim Prossil, an ancestor of the current ruling family. Tilim Prossil embedded into the nation's philosophy the ideas of strength of state and involvement in trade. Doromir is able to control such a well-trained, well-equipped army because of its sheer wealth. Much of this wealth also allows Doromir to attract foreign volunteers.

Emblem and Decree

The emblem of the chariot wheel was chosen by Aphyllos Prossil's grandfather to symbolize their power by roads and trade. It was widely accepted, and as such, only took a short time to establish as the nation's image.

The kingdom's decree of "by the king's right!" reflects their devotion to their leader, and there reverence for him as a deity. It is not known when this practice first started, nor who coined the phrase.

Government

In Doromir's culture, the current King is always revered as the kingdom's deity, as a divine being. As such, Aphyllos Prossil is the being most revered by the people of Doromir. The next king is chosen by succession, meaning the next to the throne will be Cryphan Prossil. If there is no male heir, then the king and his family choose a new ruler, usually a general or a relative such as an uncle or cousin. There has only been one female ruler of Doromir, Teley Ranos Prossil, who was the wife of Tilim Prossil. It was, in fact, Teley herself who decreed that Doromir should only be led by a male ruler.

International Relations

Doromir is allied with Silveria in trade, and protects the northern kingdom militarily. They enjoy generally cordial relations with the other Human nations, except for Kragmoc, the rival kingdom of Silveria.

Zones of Control

Doromir only controls it's own territory militarily, but it's influence reaches far through it's control of trade.
