The Human kingdom of Kaleswood is known to be the great equestrian power, and its mounted warriors are something to be admired. Kaleswood is known for its skilled woodsmen and crafters. For many years the kingdom has been allied with the Induin Wood Elves, exchanging knowledge and protection. The people of Kaleswood are a proud, rugged people, and they are as at home in the woods as the fields. The kingdom is known not only for its prowess in horse-related matters, but all of animal husbandry. Its capital is Castle Blackmane.

Martanis Rosbiteir is the current Highlord. the Rosbiteir line took power after the end of the Goldsaddle line, which had ruled since the kingdom's founding. Since Martanis' coronation, the kingdom has entered into a new age of prosperity and influence. The kingdom's chief deity is Adveion and his steed, Silonir. He is known to the Kales as the wise and powerful horse lord, keeper of order. The kingdom's towns are known for their simple, but sturdy design. Kaleswood's primary philosophies are duty, honor, family, and tradition.

Emblem and Decree

The kingdom of Kaleswood, for obvious reasons, chose a horse's head as their emblem, a regal steed rearing back adorning their banners and flags.

Likewise, they have a decree that fits their equestrian prowess as well: "Ride strong!"

Government

Kaleswood was founded as a kingdom by Jaunthe Goldsaddle, who established the first lineage of the Kales. It was decided that new highlords would be appointed by succession, the firstborn male being next in line. However, the king could decide a different successor if he chose. Such was the case when, with no successor, the last highlord of the Goldsaddle line chose his daughter's husband, Mattas Rosbiteir as the new Highlord.

International Relations

Kaleswood enjoys fairly peaceful relations with other Human kingdoms in the region, but interacts very little outside of trading with the other nations of man.

Zones of Control

Kaleswood controls only the territory for which it is named.
