General Information

The kingdom of Kragmoc, named for the hills that it occupies, is located in the northeastern part of Everwind Country. Kragmoc was once part of the kingdom of Northwind before the line of kings ended, and the kingdom separated into Kragmoc and Silveria. The capital of Kragmoc Hills is Heartblood Keep, named after Thassan Heartblood, the first High-King. The land on which the kingdom of Kragmoc sits is full of hills, plateaus and mountains, which have made its people strong and hearty. The people of Kragmoc are proud warriors, fierce on the battlefield.

The current ruler of Kragmoc is High-King Rutgar Heartblood, the great-grandson of the founding High-King, Thassan Heartblood. The principal deity of Kragmoc is Throm the Thunder-Caller, who was the first Human to cross Chillblood Pass into Everwind Country. Their primary philosophy is strength, self-sufficiency and entitlement. Kragmoc is a proud, strong nation that holds an ancient rivalry with Silveria. They are fierce warriors and stout defenders. Ultimately, they feel entitled to rule the lands of Silveria as well, but currently are unwilling to engage in war.

Emblem and Decree

The symbol of Kragmoc is a gauntlet, which was established as their emblem when the kingdom was first founded. The gauntlet was meant to symbolize strength, power and defense, and its raised position meant to infer freedom.

The kingdom's decree of "might and blood!" was the believed battle-cry of Throm the Thunder-Caller, the deified hero of Northwind, according to Kragmoc.

Government

Kragmoc is ruled over by a single High-King, who has absolute power. Though it is general practice to receive advice from his generals, the High-King is not required to yield to any domestic influence. The next High-King is decided by way of succession through bloodline, like most monarchies. The High-King will take a Queen, but this matriarch holds little power under his rule. Even if the descendant of the royal line is female, she will be required to take a marriage mate, who will become High-King. Military generals are among the highest members of society in this kingdom. They use the same coinage as Silveria, the ancient gold mark of Northwind.

International Relations

Kragmoc holds a deep peace with the Dark Elves in Bleakhaven. They are staunch rivals of their neighbors in Silveria.

Zones of Control

Kragmoc only controls the territory for which it is named. It has no legitimate claims to any other territory, though excursions into the Strongclaw Highlands are not unheard of.
