General Info
Mathath (Maa-Thaath) is the god of fire and the earth. He is the controller of the currents of molten rock far below the world's surface, and the master of fire and stone. He is known as the Stonelord, or is referred to by some as "our father of fire." He is of and under the Primal Goddess Braisys, who is the Primal of Elements.
Mathath appears as a towering figure, strong, with skin with tan/orange skin. His face is swathed in a flowing beard of coarse, curly black hair. His hair is tied back into a long, bushy ponytail, and his eyes glow with a primal fire that would invoke fear in any mortal. He, at times, wears a head band that sports a singular gem, said to be the central stone of the world.
Mathath wields a powerful scimitar of red-hot metal, known as Shahir. He is the holder of the hammer Athmeish which is used with the world forge in Carrmagia, known as Mekkana.
Relations
Personality
Mathath is known for the duality of his personality. At times, he is benevolent, seeking only to create and uphold the world above with his works. At other times, he is full of rage, and eager to expend energy in displays of his power. While he has a sense of devotion and care for his worshipers (at least those who are truly devoted,) he has little care for or like of mortals.
Aliases
Like most gods, Norimac is known to many different cultures by many different names and faces.
Massat the Worldsmith
To the Dwarves, Mathath is Massat the Worldsmith, who living below in his fiery realm shapes the stones of the world and causes mountains to rise. His anger is the cause of earthquakes, and he controls the very fires that burst the surface of the world. Many believe that an entrance to his realm lies within the mountains of the Blaze Lands.
Matta of Below
To the Desert Elves he is Matta of Below, the powerful god of stone and fire who causes the world to change and fit new shapes and purposes. It is believed that long ago, the Desert Elves were part of a race that openly defied Matta. He burned their lands, reducing them to rocky, sandy deserts, and those who refused to blaspheme his name became the Desert Elves.
