General Info
Raithe (Ray-the) is the goddess of nature, the forests and the spirits. She nurtures the spirits of the world and cultivates plant life in all its forms. She is known as the Forest Queen, and the Spring Mother. She is of and under the Primal Goddess Braisys, who is the Primal of Elements.
Raithe appears as almost a hybrid of Wood Elf and Human, with fair, pale skin and hair of a deep, rich auburn. Her hair is traced with leaves, and her garments of woven vine and leaf are said to almost be an extension of her form. She carries with her a staff, a gnarled branch set with a gem at the end that glows in prismatic colors. It is called Assala, and is said to have been handed down to her from Braisys herself.
Relations
While not an enemy, Raithe rejects most interactions with Mathath because of the devastating effect of fire on flora of almost all varieties. She enjoys cordial relations with Entigo, the God of earth and stone, and shares her high value for life with Tharin, the God of life.
Raithe values the powers bestowed upon her by Braisys, but places more value on mortal life than her Primal.
Personality
Raithe places high value on life in all its forms, but especially upon plant life. She detests destruction of mortal life, but even more so, detests the destruction of the forest and jungles. She imparts her power into the spirits of nature and the world, using them as guardians for her most sacred groves, and guides for her followers.
Aliases
Like most gods, Raithe is known to many different cultures by many different names and faces.
Rafi the Springcaller
To the Wood Elves, she is the matron of the forests and the cultivator of the world's flora. Many believe that she calls the spring season to the world, asking of the God of Spring to gift the world.
Raysj the Green Mother
To the Desert Elves, she is Raysj the Green Mother, the one who dots the sands with oases and lines the beaches with palms. Many believe that the forests are her sacred realms, and settlement in such a place is to evoke her wrath.
