General Info

Sihla (Sih-luh) is the goddess of air and the winds. She is the master of the gusts and streams of the world's atmosphere, and the mother of lightning. She is called the Breezemother, the Ethereal, and the Tempest Bride. She is of and under the Primal Goddess Braisys, who is the Primal of Elements.

Sihla appears with a bipedal form, having defined, sharp features to her face, giving her an exotic beauty. Her ears draw to long points, like an Elf, and her skin is a brilliant blue, that shines and reflects the skies around her. Her hair is long and white, endlessly swirling and billowing around her as the frigid winds themselves. She is garbed in sacred garments of light, silky cloth and crystals.

Relations

Sihla is the divine bride of Norimac, the god of water and the seas. She is not able to see her betrothed more than once every one thousand years, when her tempestuous motions settle her in the frozen north for a short time. For the rest of the cylce, Sihla's nature leaves her traveling through the world's air currents to maintain wind and lightning and all the elemental forces of air.

Sihla and Norimac have a son, a divine being by the name of Corredar the Wavestrider. He is a powerful deity that roams the seas doing his father's will. Silha blessed her son with control over the winds and storms of the sea.

Sihla refers to her patron Primal in reverential and appraising words. To her, Braisys is the "master of the elements," and the "designer of all matter."

Personality

Sihla is a dreamer, spending her solitary years slumbering while she drifts through the atmosphere in a vaporous form. It is by her dreams that her winds encircle the world, forming the currents and air streams the world is used to. Sihla hears those who worship her while she sleeps, and at times, her subconscious blesses these. She has little if any wrath for those who may blaspheme her name.

Aliases

Like most gods, Sihla is known to many different cultures by many different names and faces.

Silva the Windmother

Most Elves, especially the Wood Elves know her as Silva the Windmother, who calls Norimac's water to the skies to feed nature with refreshing rain. It is by her will that nature is bolstered, nurtured and quenched.

Silus the Atmos

To the Dwarves, she is actually Silus, the Queen of the Sky. They believe her to be a trickster god, who tests Dwarven-kind by eroding and cracking their stones with her billowing winds. They believe that this playful action comes from their choice to reside within the mountains, which spear into the gaseous heavens she calls home.
