General Information
Silveria is a land of low hills and rolling plains at the foot of the Mwyn'dor Mountain Range. It is rich with silver and iron mines. Silveria is bordered by the Mwyn'dor Mountains to the north, the Swifthoof Steppes to the west, the Stongclaw Highlands to the south, and the Kragmoc Hills to the west.
Notable Locations
Silveria has many locations offering adventure to those seeking it, but is less dangerous than its mountainous cousin, the Kragmoc Hills. There are also plenty of towns where one could find respite.
Towns
- Barrington Fork - A large, walled town that enjoys a steady stream of trade and travelers. Founded in ??? after Doromir became a trade partner with Silveria. The large flow of trade and materials transport bolsters this town and swells its population. Barrington Fork is the largest town in Silveria, aside from Silverspire Keep.
- Nytheton - A small plains town with a long, rich history. Was the birthplace of the last king of Northwind in ancient times. The gravekeeper here is said to be a scholarly keeper of secrets.
- Silverspire Keep - Founded in ??? by Highlord Vander Silverbrow. This capital of the kingdom of Silveria is a towering spire built of fine, white stone that shines like silver in the sun. Built around the spire is the surrounding town, which along with the spire and the city walls forms the keep.
- Thomkin - A small town known for its production of linens. Used often as a rest point for military forces headed to/from Fort Ashereg.
- Westford - A quaint little township on the Westford River, for which the town is named. It survives on fishing and light farming.
Forts
- Fort Ashereg - A fort that once served to repel the Mwyn'dor Dwarves from attempted capture of Silveria's eastern flank. Now serves as a point of defense against possible aggression from Kragmoc.
- Fort Feidle - A fort on the edges of the eastern border. A reinforced fortress with a size-able garrison, should conflict arise with Kragmoc.
- Fort Gatrin - A fort that only barely survived the Silveria-Mwyn'dor War. It is currently lightly garrisoned, though half of the fort is all that remains, with make-shift walls built to complete its protective circumference.
- Fort Noville - A strong fort, that is garrisoned heavily in case hostilities with the Mwyn'dor Dwarves should reignite.
Dungeons
- Blackthorn Crag - A cliff-side dwelling that is home to a band of ruthless highwaymen and thieves. The main cause of Doromir providing its caravans to Silveria with armed escort.
- Koslin Mine - A once prosperous silver mine that fed most of Northwind, but has since become depleted. It is rumored that a gang of thieves uses the deeper parts of the mine as their hideout.
- Rotworm Depths - A supposed Kobold den. Very few sightings, though it is rumored that substantial amounts of silver could be mined from this dangerous cavern.
Landmarks
- Mount Fosk - The highest point in Silveria. This mountain is covered in caves and deep crevices, though nobody has explored or mapped them, due to their almost inaccessible heights and perilous ledges.
